Wk2D4 Terrific Thursday

Hey buddy!
It's nice to have you home today.  Sure missed you on Wednesday.  Didn't we have a busy day?

Just a few highlights from Elizabeth yesterday:

" He was helpful and used positive language with his other classmates throughout the day."

"We did not have music today because the music teacher was unable to make it in but Andrew did have sometime in the music room. He also responded with an appropriate reaction to the disappointment of not getting a music lesson."
Well done Andrew. I LOVE reading about your successes.

Wk1D2: How many days until summer?

Psalm 20:4
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed

By now the shock and reality that summer vacation 2013 is over has set in and you are likely calculating how many days until Summer 2014.  The cool thing about that is, if you work with intention, you can intend to finish early thus resulting in summer being here before you know it.  So what does it mean to work with intention?

According to a reliable online dictionary source:
in-ten-tion
/in'tenCHen/
Noun
1. A thing intended; an aim or plan: "both countries have delcared their intetion to be nuclear-free".
2. The action or fact of intending

Synonyms
purpose- intent- design- aim- object- notion- idea

How do you plan to work with intention this year? What actions will get you there?

First and foremost take a few minutes to go over your School Riles student contract.  What have you agreed to do EVERY day?  How are YOU going to show up to school every day?

Watch the VIDEO and learn the lessons you need in order to LIVE WITH INTENTION.

Welcome to Grade 6 and the 2013-14 school year

Psalm 20:4
May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

I am super excited to be your teacher again this year dear son.  You have grown into quite a talented (and in my opinion HANDSOME) young man.  As you are computer savvy (definitely more tech savvy then ME), I thought it would be appropriate to create YOUR very own LEARNING BLOG.  This blog will give provide inspiration and lessons each day as well as guide you through your learning.

As you move up in grades you gain new responsibilities.  This year, some of your responsibilities will include following your blog day planner, staying in the parameters of time management and completing your assignments.  The greatest thing is that both God and your parents will be with you through this whole process of learning.  We will stand next to you and cheer you on.  Because WE BELIEVE in your potential, even on those days you don't.  You ARE the future and YOUR GIFT is to share your knowledge and understanding with the world.

Over the years hurdles have been placed in front of you.  And while you have felt like giving up, you persevered. Stumbling and falling is ok but getting up and taking the steps to move forward take courage. Both dad and I are SO proud of you and humbled to be your parents.

We wish you a life fulfilling and grand year ahead!
